Dr. Jonathan Isserow
I currently offer psychotherapy in person in East London, as well as online. I provide a safe, non-judgemental and reliable space to frame the therapeutic work. This may take the form of deepening understanding of self, that may enable new thoughts, feelings and behaviours to emerge alongside deeper transformation. I passionately believe that the process of psychotherapy enables a greater capacity to live life more fully and profoundly each day.
I am now working in person. However, I continue to offer online psychotherapy too, should that be your preferred option.
I am a state registered psychotherapist with over twenty years experience. I have also completed my PhD at UCL in psychoanalysis and film studies. I have worked extensively in adult mental health as well as child and adolescent psychiatric services in the NHS. Currently, I convene a psychotherapy training at the University of Roehampton and I frequently teach both nationally and internationally.
I work within the Health and Care Professions Council's Standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
Qualifications: PhD UCL, MA Psychoanalytic studies, PG Dip Art Therapy, BA FA (Hons). HCPC registered (AS01476). Member of BAAT.
I have been fortunate to be awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship in 2020. Follow my blog to share my journey.
Should you be interested in beginning therapy, please contact me to arrange an initial brief telephone or zoom conversation and a possible online consultation to explore a way forward.
All sessions, including the initial consultation, last 50 minutes and are £80 per session. I am currently offering online and in person work only and there is some scope to discuss a sliding scale. Please note that I have limited space availability but will endeavour to accommodate working together as much as possible.
Should you be interested in working together, then either complete the form, or email me with a short message or contact me on my mobile. I will get back to you as soon as possible for an exploratory conversation.
